What would Chuck have to say about VOY "Mortal Coil"?

I've never seen Neelix as a shithead so Chuck opened my eyes to how annoying he is. My guess would be half the review would be "Finally he's dead" and the second half about the spiritual part to the episode?

Am guessing he'd give it a 5, if we're including a "stupid Neelix moment" taking 1 off the score.

Bonus question, what would he think of DS9's "Prophet Motive"? It's by far my favourite Ferengi comedy (And this is coming from someone who didn't even like them as a kid) - I kinda feel he would be scathing to it?

It was actually an unused script for a series called Taxi - "What if Vinnie's personality changed overnight?"

I think it's Neelix's best episode.

It's also fascinating how we have two actually interesting "near death experience" episodes.

Neelix losing his faith and Belanna gaining it.

And a THIRD near death episode which is complete shit (Janeways')

Well there's also "Day of Honor", in which B'elanna confesses her love to Paris.

--------

In regards to Mortal Coil. I hope it's a serious examination of the episode, as it is probably Neelix's best episode, and we really do see a man going through a crisis of faith after a near death experience, and wondering if his entire life is a lie.

Chuck recently talked about how when confronted with a nonsensical argument similar to the Ferengi in Prophet Motive, the Prophets responded with a dose of common sense.
