Moon Landing Hoax Claims

I just saw a documentary on Netflix about how they supposedly faked the moon landings. Most of what they showed is not dumb but seems like something that could be easily explained. I am wondering if I should make a new thread for that or could we discuss that here?

What did they claim? That it was just showmanship to try and rattle the saber of the Soviets? Doesn't explain why the truth didn't come out with the end of the Cold War. Or do they believe in this Deep State/Flat Earth conspiracy? I suppose those making the videos would also claim the satellites we've sent out into space that have gathered so much data are also a lie.

I think a new thread would be best. Discussions like that tend to run pretty long.

To give a quick list of some of the more common arguments and counter-arguments:
The Van Allen belts are not an instant death field. The moonshots passed through a thin part at high speed. When someone was saying that the Orion systems would be "put to the test" by radiation he didn't say that it ad never been done before. Every new spacecraft is tested.
There was no room inside the LM for the rover because the rover was attached outside, folded up.
Shadows match up nicely when you take into account the terrain.
You don't roast or freeze in space. Space is a good insulator. Getting rid of waste heat is usually the big problem.
You can't just expect the earth to look bigger than the moon in a photograph. Focal length has an enormous effect on these things.

The actual theory they proposed is that the astronauts did go into space, they just never went to the moon. The Apollo astronauts just stayed in a low orbit for a week or so then came down like normal. I guess it makes a little bit of sense if you consider that the space shuttle never leaves low orbit. But I still have two issues with the idea that it was faked.
1. If you faked Apollo 11 then you would also have to fake Apollo 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 15, 16 and 17. Why would you bother faking nine separate missions? I could see them faking two or three missions to make it look convincing but nine?
2. What about the Soviets? If I was the head of the Soviet Union in 1969 and I even
suspected that the moon landings had been faked I would be throwing everything I had at NASA to find proof because think what that would mean. This was supposed to be the great triumph of America's Capitalism over Russia's Communism, but if the Soviets could prove it was all a hoax...

For the sake of discussion let me take the roll of a disbeliever.
1. It was all done on a movie set. All the other 'landings' were just re-edited footage from the first film. Why put them out? To keep the distraction going.
2. They did but the propaganda department that made the films kept the truth hidden. Including the Russian's debunking them.
3. The Australian receivers that picked up the signal of the landing were also faked. They were just actors pretending to be Australians.
(Please remain calm when responding I am just offering the counter arguments I believe would be put out.)

There are reflectors left by Apollo 11,14, and 15 that we can ''see'' with a laser to determine the distance to the Moon from the Earth. The Soviet Union landed two of these as well, admittedly with robot missions.

Well duh. Everyone knows that Australia itself is just an elaborate hoax. I mean, the platypus is kind of a dead giveaway.
