Spring Snowstorm
So, let's talk about the spring snowstorm, since I live in one of the states affected, Minnesota. For me, personally, you can't call it spring until winter is fucking over, and just when I thought I was safe, the cold and snow and ice and hail roared back with a vengeance. Just... why? Sigh...

This should be in general discussion, not News.

@Steve Shouldn't it be in politics because it's global warming/news related?

I can remember it snowing as late as mid-May when I was a kid. I mean, it's depressing, but this is the part of the world I live in, so
More newsworthy is that in MN a tornado drill was cancelled because of the blizzard, which according to one of my friends in the Cities, was thundersnow.

Where, I live, on the day of the blizzard, they tested it... twice. Even though I'm pretty sure they did it earlier in the month. I was terrified a tornado was coming or Russia was bombing us or something.

Re: Spring Snowstorm
Lol. But yeah, people using weather to argue climate-change completely miss the point. Climate-change is a change in the average weather. For example, snow in April and May isn't something that never happened before. As a matter of fact, that happened relatively regularly, as we old geezers can atest. That it doesn't happen relatively regularly anymore and that there's usually no more snow outside of late december to late february is the clue for climate-change, at least over here.Admiral X wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 5:38 am I can remember it snowing as late as mid-May when I was a kid. Old geezers? Wow, no offense, but... how old are you?
