Isn't this something that is done is several sports when it's professional level? At least UFC (MMA is only sport that I follow) does those as well. So really in this point those seem to be something that they are required to do. So as long as TV stations demand that.

And UFC interviews are a riot, not an 82 games + playoffs random bland bs.
