Not sure exactly what you're getting at from the final battle scene, but it wasn't really over considering Anakin stayed alive the whole time up to and proceeding Palpatine's meeting.

I only vaguely recall ep3, but given that Anakin needed to jump from a floating slab in lava, and thus needed to do acrobatics to meet Obi-Wan quickly enough, and that Obi-Wan would have counted getting away as equal victory, the battle was pretty much in Obi-Wan's pocket by then.

I tried I really did, but it's important to take note the power of the force in keeping Anakin alive after Obi Wan's blows.

Duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin was basically reason why at first Palpatine tried to run away from Yoda when he learned that it was Obi-Wan who was send after Anakin because he sensed that his apprentice was in danger. Flaws that Vader's armor and cybernetics had were punishment for failure as was him being in constant pain. Then again Vader did use that pain to feed his anger and rage that in turn was source of his power.

Knights towers were specifically designed so that the defending guards coming down the stairs would be favored in encounters. It's science.
