He does seem really hate Sanders to irrational level but then again hate is irrational emotion. And I am sure he doesn't even pesonally know Sanders so he most likely bases it on something that he has been told about Sanders by some one who shares that bias.

Well I'm pretty sure that could just be described as being irrational in spite of hate having a degree of irrationality.
