General Sports talk

Post by McAvoy »

Anyone here that watches sports?

I am a NY fan. Yankees, Giants and Knicks fan. Born that way. Third generation going back to the 30's.
I got nothing to say here.

My general sports experience equates to checking out the once-in-a-lifetime experience that was watching the Cubs win the World Series. That's it.

Anyone here watch F1 racing?
I don't think Lewis Hamilton is as good as he used to be. This is easily one of his scrappiest seasons to date and is being outshone by Max Verstappen. Max, in turn however, is reckless and it has cost him dear. My personal opinion is that Hamilton is waiting to crack Micheal Schumacher's record before quitting to pursue his activism.

Ah, no surprise it doesn't register on my radars.

I've tried multiple times to find a sport I'm willing to follow. NFL and NASCAR bore me, in spite of my Southern heritage (Go Vols!). PGA, NHL, NSL (I'm a Europhile who likes his scarves), none ever stuck with me. Even eSports and MTG tourneys...

I just ain't a sports man. I'll stick to my RPGs and CSI binges.

I grew up on sports. I played them. Watched them.

I don't follow hockey or soccer. Hockey is just soccer on ice but with sticks and some fighting. Soccer is only amusing to me in the ridiculous amounts and ways of flopping.
I got nothing to say here.
