Batman TAS: The Man Who Killed Batman

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Batman TAS: The Man Who Killed Batman

One of my favorite episodes of the series. I've never been a fan of Batman as a character, personally, so my favorite stories involving him are usually ones like this, that are really about someone else, with Batman more a device to propel the story forward.

How about the one where he's trapped in the basement of a house with 2 kids?
..What mirror universe?

Batman gave that bad guy so much time to just shoot him at the end...

These are the kinds of episodes I missed when the series moved from Fox to KidsWB. Don't get me wrong, I love a good episode on how one of Batman's many costumed and colorful rogues is looking to poison the water supply or whatever, but the loss of focus on characters like mobsters or mad scientists or, in this case, random goons, caused it to lose a lot of its charm.

That's a great observation. I've never really looked at the shift in plots, does this hold up? I know the art style change is the most obvious, but it would explain a lot if it also changed the focus of the show.
