Noticed something about The Siege of AR-558
I noticed this after rewatching the siege of AR-558 and watching chuck's review of the same ep most of the crew that was on the defiant was too calm after that battle. Nog we know had ptsd but what about some of the others such as Ezri and Quark who had never been in battles like that in their (current) lives.

DS9: The Siege of AR-558
Would it be possible to change the title of the thread to refer to the specific episode?sayla0079 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 1:51 am I noticed this after rewatching the seige of ar-558 and watching chuck's review of the same ep most of the crew that was on the defiant was too calm after that battle. DS9: "The Siege of AR-558" is easily one of the most significant episodes of the entire series. It made great strides in showing a pitched battle, on a scale even larger than "Nor the Battle to the Strong" or "Rocks and Shoals". Bill Mumy's cameo played an important role in peacemaking between the DS9 and B5 fandoms.
Plotwise, it mainly fed into Nog's character development, but it was still a well-conceived capsule, a sample of the type of battle that still happened every day in a war that has gone on far too long.
Ezri and Quark in particular are people who are used to the idea of maintaining a façade to get through the day. Ezri was worse at it earlier in Season 7, but she's got a decent poker face by "It's Only a Paper Moon".

Ezri might have the experiences of Dax to help her out, since Dax has the memories of the previous host. As for Quark, he was on DS9 during a Cardassian occupation and a terrorist campaign.sayla0079 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 1:51 am I noticed this after rewatching the siege of AR-558 and watching chuck's review of the same ep most of the crew that was on the defiant was too calm after that battle. And everyone reactions differently. Some people go through violent attacks and shake it off, while I reacted a little obsessively to my car being vandalized.

True it was just a thought.
