In the episode "Remember Me" Chuck said that part of the episode could be taken in three ways:
1) "This is a mind-blowing and profound examination of thought and reality."
2) "This is so much dead air about pseudo-scientific bullshit."
3) "It's just the creepy guy being really creepy."
Obviously not the first, given he was just throwing that in to be sarcastic, but... I'm leaning towards the second or third myself, most likely third given what came immediately after that.
