No, we met a man who said he was Leonardo. Flint was right handed, Leonardo was left. Flint wanted a robogirl, Leonardo was all about cute boys(read up on Salai, Leonardo's apprentice/muse sometime). Janeway even points out in this episode that the evidence that Kirk met Leonardo was never really conclusive. For all we know, Flint just met the man, bought some of his work, and centuries later, actually thought he was all these incredible people he met over the millennia.

Maybe Flint was bi.
Like Vandal Savage.
He (Flint) also claimed to have been Alexander, who was apparently at least bisexual.
There was also harder evidence that he was Brahms--so, maybe the 6000 year old immortal obsessively deluded himself into thinking he was all the greatest figures of human history...except for that one guy, that really was him?
I'm not thinking one needs to sharpen Occam's Razor too much to trim that one down.
That's another interesting thing they could have done with Voyager, but didn't. They could have established that the reason starships seem to have everything in their computers is because they can communicate via subspace to Starfleet servers all around the Federation. It could have been used to have The Doctor not know how to do certain procedures and have to learn them.
The more I see how it is used, the more I hate the mobile emitter. First, if it were capable of downloading everything about a hologram, it should just be a copy. There should be nothing to prevent generating another Doctor onboard the ship. Second, it's name does not match its function. It's more than just an emitter (i.e. user interface). It's capable of storing databases, running code, storing, and disseminating information, etc. It's literally a computer on its own. If it were just an emitter, it would require constant communication with the ship where the information is actually stored.

Then the Doctor could never be stolen. The Doctor could never leave the ship. The Doctor could probably never leave the room.

Which is inline with what's established in the show.
The problem was Voyager realized what a wasted opportunity it was leaving the Doctor stuck in there (after using up much of what drama could be done working with it) and so they forced a reason to free him of it.

Hell, remember the first time Voyager got dicked around by a wormhole? With the Romulan? They somehow knew that *this particular* mid level random scout captain died some time before they left because it was in their computers. Recall, this was before the Romulans joined in against the Dominion, so they’d have no reason to have ANY Romulan records onboard Voyager, let alone death certificates of *spy ship crew*.
Haha yeh I’ve always wondered that. Voyager especially having no kind of data linkup to Federation databases, should have some limit to what they have stored. Like you said, there’s no reason why Voyager’s computer would be programmed as standard with info on Telek R’Mor or Shannon O’Donnell or how to replicate a burnt meal for some reason. And let’s not forgot that everything they encounter in the Delta Quadrant is new (apart from all the Alpha Quadrant stuff they keep finding) and they’ll want to record as much as possible on all that too. But yeh Torres once decided to go through the computer memory and delete old files to save space...
