Umm he did "Epilogue" already awhile a go. His order for some shows is wildly non-linear, if he is not systematically doing the whole series.King Green wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:11 am Somehow I feel that Chuck will do the "Epilogue" episode of DCAU after new years to troll us to cry after we celebrated 2020, and if its true everone bring a box...no, a big bucket of napkins with their comfort food/drink.

No, I mean the one where Bats talks to a really talented girl named Ace and she has to die because her powers are endangering human existence. And I really wished they made a better comic adaptation for her rather than that shitty 2003 Bryan Clat theory of why Ace cannot be adapted into comics, just put her into the Modern Age versions, you did it with Magma Bomb!?AllanO wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:24 amUmm he did "Epilogue" already awhile a go. Do not pity a Slave for the Slave-Lord, but hear the power of what Chaos can be.
All Beings bow before the children of he who bound their flesh by their words.
Fall and wail, all flesh, bone, soul,& power is a servant to Yun-man, the First Slave-Lord.

Right, epilogue was the appropriately titled episode bookending the season outside of the Cadmus plot.AllanO wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:24 amUmm he did "Epilogue" already awhile a go. Following SF Debris reviews he went steadily through the Cadmus arc and in sequential order, but it was after having already done that episode. Myself was guessing from the reviews that Cadmus arc concluded the season even though I had just watched all of JLU. I thought epilog was the series finale or something.
..What mirror universe?

I agree with you.Senko wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 3:36 am
I didn't like that bit she uses all she has to shove the bomb up and away from the crowded marketplace which accidentally kills some people when it goes off and damages the skyscraper. For which she gets made out to be a villainous monster who needs to be put under house arrest so people feel safe.
Re: JLU - Patriot Act
Pretty sure he already did that one

General Eiling was the one who was out of power in that situation though.FaxModem1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:13 am What's interesting is that Chuck's point goes against the spirit of the episode. The Seven Soldiers of Victory are Golden Age heroes. Shining Knight's whole speech to Eiling is about how morals ARE going down the drain with the forwarding of time.
youtu.be/lcKoVeazUqQ
"There it is, the creeping moral decay of the past thousand years."
It's old fashioned heroism, with magic and old fashioned weapons versus a science fiction monster. While I believe Chuck is correct, and the world is slowly getting better, the episode wants us to embrace the idea that civilization is going downhill, and it's only by embracing old ideas that we can be better.
The Cadmus project was shut down, or at least restricted, and it became a public embarrassment.
So even in Shining Knight's condemnation of the moral decay of the past thousand years, the very person he's fighting is an example of how that moral decay is being fought and defeated.
And one major theme of Justice league unlimited and Justice league itself was that both the heroes and those who would protect us from potential fallen heroes must guard themselves from going too far in their goals and from being manipulated.
And for as much as general eiling represents the bad, there's four more characters in the episode representing the good.

Batman's greatest weapon is the Bat-hug... but he almost never deploys it, because it's almost too powerful.King Green wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:11 am Somehow I feel that Chuck will do the "Epilogue" episode of DCAU after new years to troll us to cry after we celebrated 2020, and if its true everone bring a box...no, a big bucket of napkins with their comfort food/drink.

I always have to fight back tears of sorrow and rage when Batman sits down with Ace and talks her down while she slowly dies. Goddammit, this girl did not deserve this to happen to her and Batman shows that he has compassion for other people and isn't just about fear and justice.
