Chuck leaving Vimeo

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

I would be entirely glad if he halved his overall output if need be, and had more time for himself and his family. I understand reviewing is now his day job of sorts, but it's obvious to me that he should still put his health, well-being and his family first. The world will not end if he doesn't stick to a strict schedule (that seems remedied now, with the announcement of "Chaos Mode") or doesn't keep up his, as others have said, thoroughly impressive reviewing tempo. Something's gotta give, as the saying goes. Either Chuck's health, or the frequency of the videos. I'd prefer if the latter gave, not the former. For the sake of SF Debris himself, and his wife and children.

Recently, in January, a good female friend of mine nearly suffered genuine burnout. Even her doctor warned her. This was a result of all the work load she took on herself last year, and add to that her going back to college to finally study again. She's only 24 and a more sensitive person, so it was maybe even 10x easier for her to get a burnout than the average person. As me and her other friends told her repeatedly, she needs to relax more, spread out her duties and delegate them among others if need be. She's done so in the last two months and things have really improved. I think it's dangerous if a more sensitive/anxiety-prone person like her gets lost in workoholism (she's had this issue before, in her high school days), and even those less easily threatened by this should take their health more seriously.

Not handling an ever greater work load doesn't mean you're less skillful or less hardworking a person. Not at all. If anything, one should learn to love what they're doing and appreciate what they've achieved, without having to flagelate themselves over and over with the notion of "I am not doing enough yet !". I think my friend, and Chuck, and plenty of other men and women, are already doing more than enough. They need to go more easy on themselves.

That's genuinely sad. Vimeo was probably the most comfortable video player SF Debris has used to date.

Oh well, the financial side of things is important. Pity he'll have to move so much stuff again.

I wish him good luck once he gets to it.

Amazon will host video content. I know that's where some of the old Cracked content showed up.

Three videos in three days - I really love seeing them and once I'd have welcomed that but I'm getting more concerned about Chuck's health at that rate of output.

Yeah it's kinda weird that 'chaos mode' has actually meant more videos, not less.

That is chaos for you, inherently unpredictable.

I really think he ought to test the waters over on BitChute. They tout themselves as a free speech platform, so hopefully that would include things like reviews being protected by Fair Use. I wouldn't advocate piling everything over there, but he might try posting older Star Trek reviews over there just to see what happens, especially if there are any in particular from when he was on other platforms that seemed to get flagged a lot.

You've been watching the recent reviews, right? He's been using Bitshit as a last resort.

Has Chick tried using https://bittube.tv/ as a backup/alternative?
From what I've seen it's OK. Not sure about video embedding though.

Is DailyMotion not a option?
He was on Dailymotion previously. Not sure what the problem was, though I'd guess the use of copyrighted footage, no matter how fair use, is ever the problem.

I suspect you’d need some platform which doesn’t carry out business in the USA.
