Re: Beast Wars Series Thread (Spoilers Allowed)
Hey, if the Autobots could put in a pool and stock it with fish for the Dinobots to catch (and eat, apparently, even those based on herbivores), a bean farm isn't as far fetched as it seems.

But that was on an earth outpost. Rampage hasn't been here long enough to cultivate anything, probably even to encounter bean crops. Cybertron doesn't even have SOIL.Archanubis wrote:Hey, if the Autobots could put in a pool and stock it with fish for the Dinobots to catch (and eat, apparently, even those based on herbivores), a bean farm isn't as far fetched as it seems.

Bare in mind Rampage is from several centuries after the Great War which was fought at least until 2006 by which time (in the G1 cartoon at least) Earth was moving into being a minor interstellar power. So at the time Rampage was created there's been plenty of time for Cybertronians to gain knowledge of human cuisine. And assuming it's not a byproduct of their biomechanical beast mode, earlier episodes of Beast Wars imply they can run off (or at the very least synthesise some fuel) from biological sources, so it's even plausible they've sampled human cuisine directly.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote:But that was on an earth outpost. Now Rampage's creation is rather vague, so it possible before he turned psycho he'd sampled food or could even have been programmed with it as a protoform. In fact, iirc, his backstory has him massacring a colony, but there's little to no details on what the colony was or even who it's inhabitants were (other than Depth Charge), so it's possible it could have been a joint Cybertronian-human colony which had beans in its food stocks that he tried munching on between killings.

That wasn't an Earth outpost - that was on Cybertron (Watch "Grimlock's New Brain" for reference). So if the Autobots could create a fish-stocked pool on their home planet, a greenhouse isn't out of the question.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote:But that was on an earth outpost. To say nothing of the original Insecticons, who put the "extreme" in "Extreme Omnivore."Dînadan wrote:And assuming it's not a byproduct of their biomechanical beast mode, earlier episodes of Beast Wars imply they can run off (or at the very least synthesise some fuel) from biological sources, so it's even plausible they've sampled human cuisine directly.
