Incredible, Part 3

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Incredible, Part 3

Post by AllanO »

Since Chuck included an image of the title with this on it I have to ask one of my favourite Hulk questions:
Can a man with green skin and a petulant personality find true happiness in today's status-seeking society?

This is as I understand it a joke about how, at the time (the 60's), magazine article, books and movies would ask these sort of long winded supposedly profound questions at the outset, in the teaser etc.

The Leader forgot a key Evil Overlord rule no matter the temptation of ultimate power (or ultimate knowledge) I will not consume an energy field bigger than my head. When you have a head as big as the Leader's that should be less of a problem. This is also what happened to the villain in at the end of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The perils of knowledge, I guess.
Yours Truly,
Allan Olley

This early Hulk, along with Sub Mariner was Marvel's anti-hero bad boy.

I have to say these reviews are way better than I expected (not that I was expecting bad)

One of those images of The Leader looks like the Mekon with evil facial hair.

In... fairness? I do feel I have to point out a slight mistake, if not a particularly important one, about Chuck's remarks about the Hulk's early rogue's gallery: I'm pretty sure that Tyrannus isn't the most commonly appearring of them, as the Ringmaster has made quite a lot of appearances in the Marvel Universe over the years. It's just that those appearances almost invaribaly consist of him and his circus getting their arses kicked six ways from Sunday by whomever happens to be in the area, from Spider-Man to Howard the Duck. Since, once you get past the hat, he's not an especially troublesome opponent. Heck, he barely gave the Hulk pause in his first appearance.

Still, he is a far more commonly appearing character than Tyrranus. Just not a particularly impressive one.
