I dunno, maybe he'd grab Omega Supreme if that was an option, but if he's stuck in a standard macromaster sized Cybertronian, I think Starscream is too much of a preening narcissist to take any form other than his own if given the option.

As requested by... Emperor Kevin?
Hrm. Not sure how to feel about that.
Fun review though, that aside.

One thing that confused me about this episode, however, is Tarantulas's statement that their base is "undefended." Yet, this episode aired after the introduction of Inferno, and he's no where to be seen here. My only thought is that it was written and intended to air before Inferno's introduction, but that's not how things turned out.
As Chuck says, Megatron has a "This is a bunch of scrap" look on his face when Starscream finishes his (bullshit) story. And consider Megatron's comment to Scorponok after they capture the Axalon:PapaPalpatine wrote: ↑Wed Jun 06, 2018 10:26 pm I personally find it some what odd the Beast Wars Megatron knew nothing of Starscream; you'd think Galvatron or whoever was in charge of the Decepticon faction would at least warn their command officers about the back-stabbing traitor with the indestructible spark, just in case he ever showed up again.
To me, that indicates Megatron was somewhat aware of Starscream's history, and, schemer that he is, he decided to exploit Starscream's scheme for as long as he could. His later rage could be just him venting.BW Megatron wrote:We are pleased with Starscream's performance, so far. But watch him, carefully.
Re: Beast Wars: Possession
Starscream is often a short-sighted idiot, but he's actually intelligent (no idiots can be smart, really). I think he has terrible impulse control which just messes him over in whatever iteration of the show we see.
We must dissent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwqN3Ur ... l=matsku84

Eh, I've got nothing new to add other than to agree with Chucks opinion about this episode. At the time it aired it was awesome to finally have this series connection to G1 confirmed and acknowledged. But now looking back at the episode as a whole it ended up being largely forgettable. There's really wrong with the episode, but there's nothing really good about it either.

It's an example showing that intelligence and wisdom are two different things.

Re: Beast Wars: Possession
I just always imagine "man what if this had been the start of a whole different arc?"
Megs: See, Starscream? You're as pitiful as your file indicated you would be. And just as bad a liar, especially the bit about your "death".
Starscream: Ha...no Megatron...I only told half a lie.
Megs: Not my concern *aims blaster*
Starscream: He'll be coming now...
Being less armchairy, I also feel Starscream's presence in a simple story is entirely too redundant with the cast. Bad enough that "the Starscream role" has now been split between Tarantulus and Terrorsaur (his endless treachery and endless ambition), but then you have Black Arachnia and it all starts to blur, I feel. Something that was more personal, like a lone character or two encountering his ghost-spark, might have worked better considering the position in the series.

Re: Beast Wars: Possession
I mean, all Predacons are Starscreams at heart. Given what we see when Rhinox is reprogrammed into a Predacon, trying to seize power at the slightest opportunity is just how they're built. The only Predacons who have anything resembling actual loyalty are Scorponok (who often acts like a dumb dog at his master Megatron's heels), Inferno (who's insane), and Waspinator (who's probably just all too aware how horribly trying to overthrow Megatron would go for him).
Re: Beast Wars: Possession
You forgot Dinobot who is able to subordinate himself to someone when he feels they're capable, as he did with not just Primal but Megatron before the crash revealed what he thought was incompetence on his part.
Re: Beast Wars: Possession
So in this episode, is Scorponok the only decepticon loyal to Megatron?
