RIP Ruby
Re: RIP Ruby
I recently replaced mine from 2012 but that was because I wanted to - the old system is now with a nephew.

I built mine in 2011 and she's still going strong, as befitting a machine named after Major Kusanagi.

Good part about building a system is that if a part breaks, all you have to do is replace the broken part then recover starting from there.
And it's still a relief to know of the current status of the Warrior. After a few days I'd started to worry that it was made but accidentally not sent out and didn't know if I wanted to ask about it again.

Let's do the time-honored tradition to honor a dead Exocomp and pour a glass of oil in remembrance of Ruby.

At some point it becomes more expensive to replace an old part, compared to just updating to completely new hardware. Especially if you consider the needs of a video-creator, after all, saving time to render videos is also saving money.SabreMau wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 8:50 am Good part about building a system is that if a part breaks, all you have to do is replace the broken part then recover starting from there.

Man, I enjoy a good story of Chuck's about how time is conspiring to keep him from posting reviews on schedule, like a fun cat or home repair story. But this hasn't been a fun month with the thing with his son and now this. Knowing how disruptive I find it to start over with a new PC, I don't envy Chuck dealing with that with his workload, especially on top of other recent things. Damn you Time, give Chuck a break for a while, okay?!
