Then find someone who gives a damn and stop bitching about it here. It's not constructive; people here have said their piece and the argument reached a natural conclusion. Yet you insist on continuing to bring it up. Save everyone some time and find someone who will actually enjoy this argument.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 7:41 pmit's just there are still things about MLP I like but this one thing I just can't get past.

I remember a commercial for that equal sigh episode I never saw the thing itself, but thought it would have been fun.

sorry to bring this up again but I don't see any meaningful difference between Starlight and her village and Alixis and the Luddite cult from Star Trek: DS9 "Paradise".

Starlight Glimmer was (eventually) remorseful and the villagers didn't approve of what she did at all.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 11:01 pm sorry to bring this up again but I don't see any meaningful difference between Starlight and her village and Alixis and the Luddite cult from Star Trek: DS9 "Paradise".
In "Paradise," Alixus was portrayed as in the wrong, but IIRC, stood by what she did. And her villagers didn't completely forgive her, but said there was a positive side of building a community.
They're almost complementary treatments in their resolutions.

but still, she psychologically tortured the other ponies in the village and that was just glossed over and everyone she hurt instantly forgives her.
