I actually get a kick out of watching MLP unlike doctor who they know how to do a murder mystery on a train. Not to Knock on Full Moon but I'm an anime fan and I don't watch the reviews. I think I want my old forum rank for patron back over requesting shows right now.

The 2006 anime has medicore animation, poor storytelling, awful, terrible characters including the worst protagonist I have ever come across, over reliance on deus ex machinas, sexualisation of a child and the worst waste of a great concept I've ever seen.

Didn't that franchise that start as porn video game of some sort?

(I've never touched anything Fate related, just going off what I remember from TVTropes)

That would be for the Visual Novels. They show sex scenes everywhere, though no, at no point does Shirou get it on with Illya, who is like 10.

From what I've heard, it did start off like that, which made one scene in the anime either full of black humour from its awkwardness or just really uncomfortable.

No, but in the anime, it does show a lingering upskirt shot of her, have her dry hump Shirou while he's tied to a chair and has several lingering shots of her naked body in the last two episodes.

It is honestly amazing how they took the concept of King Arthur vs. Hercules and screw it up that badly.

The side effect being, even if he did accept such a request, with the old donation rates it would mean paying $5,000+ out of pocket to see something eventually in five years.

I requested anime a while ago but just a single six-episode arc, not expecting to see any of that until 2020 at the earliest.

It's amazing you people pay that kind of money and are willing to wait that patiently. Thanks for doing so and thus securing this entertainment- and opinion-piece for all of us. Thank you to all you donators/requesters.

I suspect current funding of the site is quite a lot more off crowdfunded Patreon than he did off of taking open donation requests. $10 a month to see reviews a week ahead of public release is a good bargain for 296 of us.

Honestly for me the reason why I donate monthly is because I like the stuff he sends out like the Q&A, they give an interesting insight into the thought that goes into his projects. Plus of course the journey of getting his hot tub installed, that was crazy.

I requested he take on 2010: The Year We Make Contact. Apparently 2001 is already in his queue and he told me he'd be pairing the two in sequential videos. And then I looked at the calendar and realised that 2001 turns 50 this year, which might be a clue as to when that video will be out. Or not, this is speculation on my end here. Regardless of when both videos come out (2001 is one of my favourite movies and 2010, while vastly inferior, has some quite fascinating scenes) I'll be waiting patiently for them, as it's always worth the wait.
