He has the position of a nobleman but none of the resources.

I don't think Worf gets points for being a bad dad just because he's on a ship that regularly goes into battle. He still could have maintained regular contact.

Yeah how do you not know your 8 (seriously?) year old son has run away and joined the Klingon army? Although I'm questioning the grandparents too.

Didn’t Alexander say they supported him? He was an adult (somehow) by then.

My headcanon is Alexander got stuck in a time vortex until he was sixteen. He spent that time in the future where the Dominion almost won.

Worf got a message about it. Grunted, said, "Must be Friday."

Then went back to work.

Worf really needed to keep an eye on that kid. He had unbelievably growth spurts whenever Worf wasn’t there.

Given the stuff that happens on the USS Enterprise, the "got stuck in a time anomaly for a decade" is perfectly plausible.

I always figured it was Wesley Crusher, since he got time powers from the Traveler and all.

Didn't the Klingons have a working time machine by that point? According to Voyager.
