Short Treks: Q & A

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Am I the only one for whom this video will not load? I've been trying to watch it since the day Chuck released it, but I always get a loading error for it. No other videos do this. Is this related to the upcoming hosting change?

Happened to me with it originally (although it's playing OK for me now). It worked when I watched it directly from YouTube though.

I don't understand this desire to completely redesign everything rather than adding detail and trying to make the sets look of a higher quality by using different materials/better painting techniques and the like. IMO, that would be the way to go. And the whole idea of viewscreens being literal windows just strikes me as stupid and a hold-over from Abrams Trek, which seems to be what STD and STP want to be closer to. Of course, design-wise, nothing is quite as stupid as the Willy Wonka turbolift system that suggests a massive ship with a ridiculous amount of open space inside of it. Ironically, this is part of what makes the windshield idea stupid, because it sets the scale of the ship and it would actually be quite small.
