Shows I'd like to see Chuck review

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Also, you can shoot Neelix.
I have a feeling the review would end up looking a lot like this Discovery clip. :)

On a related tangent, I'd kinda like to see how Chuck would tackle reviewing Interstella 5555.

You know, looking over the list of episodes he's done...I know he'll get to them eventually, but I'm wanting him to review Original Series Star Trek episodes "Return to Tomorrow" and "Is There in Truth No Beauty".

Why those two, you may ask?

Because Diana Muldaur, AKA Dr. Pulaski on TNG, guest starred in both those episodes. "Return to Tomorrow" as Dr. Ann Mulhall:

And "Is There in Truth No Beauty" as Dr. Miranda Jones:

In the former I could see him joking about that being the reason why Pulaski acts how she does: she's been in Starfleet for over a century and had to change her name. ^_-

I can imagine Chuck's shock at discovering Janeway was training a personal elite guard of heavily armed shock troops ready to destroy and dominate in her name.
Or total lack thereof.

Since Chuck said that he was going to start doing more book reviews, I think it would be really interesting if he could review "1984". I know that it doesn't fall under Chuck's typical fastens of spaceships, ray guns, and pink ponies, but I think he could handle it well. He has already handled derivatives of it, like TNG's "Chain of Command", and the Twilight Zone episode "The Obsolete Man", quite well. Heck, he even repeatedly referenced and quoted the book in the former's review. Given his occasional references to Orwell's works, I wouldn't be surprised if Chuck is already familiar with the book.

Though the reason I want Chuck specifically to do this is because he can handle derisive topics in a fair but also interesting manner. I would love to see him discuss some of the deeper issues presented in the book, ranging from the political to the philosophical to discussions on the human condition. That kind of thing is Chuck's strength, the philosophical questioning in many of his reviews are a big draw for me, and I'm sure for other people too. In addition, I think he would be able to to paint the world and present the story in an effective manner. I know "1984" is a hard book for some people to read, so having a good summary/review/discussion of presented issues would be a draw for people.

In other works, I would like to see more Twilight Zone. Those are short, so easy to review, but always offer something interesting to discuss. "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" is also something I'll like to see Chuck review. The show was popular and critically acclaimed for the most part, and was basically Marvel's JLU. Unfortunately the show got abruptly cancelled after only two seasons to be replaced with the vastly inferior "Avengers Assemble" show, but it was one of my all time favorites while it lasted. And I know Chuck is a Marvel fan, especially a Hulk fan (like myself), so I could see him doing the work justice.

With movie reviews currently reopened, if I hadn't already sent in $400 on a game review request earlier in the year, I'd be interested enough to drop the cash on seeing (eventually) what he thinks of Warcraft: The Movie.

Or maybe someone else has already queued that up.

This hasn't even aired yet, and I already want to see Chuck's take on it.

Also, The Orville. It's Star Trek in all but name.

I would LOVE to see him review something within the Fate universe known as Fate/Stay Night, the 2006 anime. It is the most engrossing, engaging, captivating, emotional anime I have ever come across without being too over the top. The characters feel fleshed out and more realistic than you'd think anime characters would be, and the unfolding love story between Shirou and Saber is as much heartwarming as it is tragic. With no explicit sexualization like you see in other anime, plenty of great action, wonderful dialogue, I have to wonder if Chuck would really like this. Or if he'd prefer something like Fate/Zero or Yu Yu Hakusho.

Not sure if anyone has suggested this but here's a show I would like Chuck to review, RosterTeeth's RWBY. Its got awesome fight scenes, memorable characters and a great villain. Though the first seasons is a bit clunky and the main plot of the show doesn't really start until the last two episodes of season one and the first season is a bit more cliche then the others so there is stuff to poke fun at. All in all I'd say that this is a show worthy of Chuck's time and I'd like to see his opinion on it. :)

Does anyone know Chuck's policy on reviewing non-English-language material? There is a certain science fiction film from the Eastern Bloc (a Polish film called "Sexmission," which despite the name is not a porno, but an anti-communist satire set in a post-apocalyptic world where all men had been destroyed in WWIII) which I'd like for him to review, but to my knowledge there are only English subtitled versions available.

First post--I've been a long time SFDebris fan, and I want to express my appreciation for Chuck's show and for his work on Unity. Great stuff all around, and he's really given me new perspectives on Trek in particular!

well, he did the original japanese version of Gojira, so i doubt subtitles are a deal breaker for him.
