I think SNW at least is worth a wait and see, as there was some hints in the very last episode to come out that maybe the gorn are being riled up by something.

How they're going to get from that to the ToS version is beyond me, but maybe who knows.

I dunno. Based on what they've estabilshed about the species so far, I'm not holding my breath, and the show has been pretty bad about biological essentialism in general.
