For a show ostensibly about the power of humanity striking out into the stars there is a comical number of insane gods floating around that could blast us all to ash in an instant.

Granted Gene always just viewed them more as an annoyance...
With their frequency you'd think there would be a dedicated branch of Starfleet whose only job is to find and KILL these things!

Nah, there would be ten times as many but they’re all too busy blasting each other to bother with us lower life forms most of the time.Wargriffin wrote:Its very Lovecraftian...Rocketboy1313 wrote:For a show ostensibly about the power of humanity striking out into the stars there is a comical number of insane gods floating around that could blast us all to ash in an instant.

Probably a team at Section 31 with that job. And they're probably pretty successful. We don't see nearly as many come the TNG era.Wargriffin wrote:Its very Lovecraftian...Rocketboy1313 wrote:For a show ostensibly about the power of humanity striking out into the stars there is a comical number of insane gods floating around that could blast us all to ash in an instant.

Huh. So B5 is the one getting the "worst episode of the franchise" treatment this year. ANd it's TKO.
Well, he'd already done Infection and Grey 17 is Missing, so it pretty much had to be that I guess.

The probe giveth and the probe taketh away, Scotty.
I'm certainly also looking forward to Chuck tearing TKO to shreds.
