Starscream's Brigade/Revenge of Bruticus Review
Starscream's Brigade is up: https://player.vimeo.com/video/252991747
I remember seeing the script for this show at some point in the past. If I recall right, the ending to this episode was very different in the original script:
1) Menasor doesn't show up in the end. I don't recall if the Stunticons were called , but Mensaor didn't show up to defeat Bruticus at the end.
2) Starscream is the *only* one seen recharging; the Combaticons are still out of luck due to lacking one "energy absorber" at the end.
3) Related to the first two, the way Bruticus and Starscream are defeated plays out differently. Instead of Menasor cold-cocking Bruticus, Bruticus chooses the very moment Starscream has Megatron at his mercy to rebel - for all of about 30 seconds, before Bruticus keels over from a lack of energy.
I'm not sure why the episode was changed to what it is now - especially since Menasor was an "older" toy to Bruticus - and I haven't been able to find the old script to post it as a reference. Maybe SFDebris will show more in his review of "The Revenge of Bruticus."

Scale in Transformers, so messed up. Despite the component Decepticons being about the same size, Starscream can perch on Bruticus' shoulder like a robot parrot.

And let's not get into how the parts of the Gestalts wouldn't work (seriously, how can a military Jeep turn into a leg the same size as a tank?).SpacePaladin wrote:Scale in Transformers, so messed up. Scale in Transformers is, not to put too fine a point on it, screwed.

Defensor deserves notes too, where a motocycle, an ambulance and an helicopter share size.
And of course, the fact Starscream doesn't stand tall above Optimus and Megatron.
Re: Transformers: Starscream's Brigade
megatron turns into a handgun, weldable by robots that are the same size as himself.
Re: Transformers: Starscream's Brigade
You know, sometimes I think Transformers might be a bit silly. Nah, can't be right.
Re: Transformers: Starscream's Brigade
Though, notably, Beast Wars seemed to be pretty consistent with the scale of the characters, which meant you had a wasp, a gorilla, and a T-Rex that were all roughly the same size. It was a little weird, but it worked.

Beast Wars used CG models.Fianna wrote:Though, notably, Beast Wars seemed to be pretty consistent with the scale of the characters, which meant you had a wasp, a gorilla, and a T-Rex that were all roughly the same size. It was a little weird, but it worked.
