WARNING: As the title says This WILL contain spoilers for Star Trek Discovery season 1 so if you are not caught up and wish to be surprised stop reading now, go and watch the show or wait for Chuck to finish reviewing it and then come back.
So as it was revealed in Discovery Gabriel Lorca is actually from the Mirror Universe and that people from the MU are very sensitive to light which is why Lorca is himself sensitive to light and why he is so much more aggressive and manipulative then one would except a Star Fleet officer to be. So quick question, who else do we know who has the lights turned down on their ship, is unusually aggressive & manipulative, who has done things that Star Fleet would find questionable like recruiting a known enemy of the Federation and expects nothing but loyalty from their crew and does what they can to keep said crew in the dark.
Yep, Captain Catharine Janeway of Voyager. The Janeway of the show is not the actual Janeway of the main universe but is, in fact, the Mirror Universe Janeway who came over to the main Trek Universe, captured or killed the original Janeway and took her place. As Lister said in Red Dwarf in a future season, "A Billion Puzzle Peaces Just Fell into Place."
So what do you all think of this? Chuck, Linkara if you're reading this, I would like to know what you two think.
Is X also from the Mirror Universe? (Spoilers for Dis)

I kind of liked the joke that the MU Janeway (still sporting a goatee) was actually friendly, much like South Park did with Cartman in its own take on the MU.

The Krill, from The Orville. STD ripped off The Orville, and only had to ignore continuity to do it. Sensitive to light.... Sure, that is why the lighting is exactly the same on TOS's mirror episode and the Ent episodes, and even the non-Terok Nor sections of the DS9 mirror episodes. STD is written by idiots who think that fandom must be idiots to swallow that.Winter wrote:WARNING: As the title says This WILL contain spoilers for Star Trek Discovery season 1 so if you are not caught up and wish to be surprised stop reading now, go and watch the show or wait for Chuck to finish reviewing it and then come back.

I dunno, it seems like the mirror Janeway would have rigged the Array to explode after they used it to go home. Probably would have used motion sensors as well, to make sure it wouldn't explode until Kazon had already begun boarding the station. No MU would allow a bomb to go off if it didn't cause some death.

Yeah, the Discovery writers ripped off a show that was airing at the same time as their's... that makes senseThe Krill, from The Orville. STD ripped off The Orville, and only had to ignore continuity to do it. Sensitive to light.... That's not as impossible as it sounds. Babylon 5 and DS9, for example. I'm not saying Discovery did rip off Orville, just that it isn't impossible.cnquistador wrote:Yeah, the Discovery writers ripped off a show that was airing at the same time as their's... that makes senseThe Krill, from The Orville.
