I personally find it some what odd the Beast Wars Megatron knew nothing of Starscream; you'd think Galvatron or whoever was in charge of the Decepticon faction would at least warn their command officers about the back-stabbing traitor with the indestructible spark, just in case he ever showed up again.

The robot who turns into a wolf would be a Weirdwolf. See:

Woo, the first of the Beast Wars episodes I donated for! (the other 7 were all end of season 2 and season 3 material, so who knows when we'll get to those.)
As requested by... Emperor Kevin?
Hrm. Not sure how to feel about that.
Fun review though, that aside.

Implying G1 Galvatron/Megatron can learn from his mistake or, ya know, plan?

Well yes, I assumed that it meant someone else also requested the episode. But at the time I requested 8 episodes it wasn't on the list. If it had been I would have picked a different episode.
I don't super care cause its all just donating to the show in general and supporting Chuck is good regardless. and I think you contribute every two months what I did just once, but I had been looking forward to my request credit.

As much as I can see Chuck's point, I kinda like that he was underutilized in that it added more to the atmosphere of the currently unknown planet they're on that weird things happen here, but not too weird that it suffers from that problem time travel (and prequels) are vulnerable to the most where everything becomes interconnected with an eye to what's to come.
As to the lack of a goal on Starscreams part, well, this is a fellow who after thinking he left Megatron to slow death in space then proceeded to organize are coronation for himself without any hint of further planning when it came to the war with the Autobots. I wouldn't be surprised if another part of his personality that could be added to is that, for all his scheming and back stabbing, he becomes the proverbial dog who catches a car and doesn't know what the hell to do with the thing he's sought for so long.

You're only a Cybertronian werewolf if you're a triplechanger and your third form is a wolf-man hybrid.
I think Possession might have worked better in season 3 when we knew that this was not only Earth but the Maximals were protecting the Ark.
Hell, season 2 could have been done, when it was obviously Earth they were on, and they use the opportunity to foreshadow that the Ark would become a major plot point.
And that Starscream's ultimate goal would have been to repossess his own stasis-locked body, allowing him to dominate pretty much everyone, and add himself to the list of people he betrayed.

That's thinking too small, he should try to possess the body of the original Megatron. Or better yet, the original Optimus.

I personally think that maybe Starscream had a goal similar to Megatron's ultimate endgame in Beast Wars, but more in favor of himself. Perhaps he meant to kill both the original Optimus Prime and Megatron, perhaps kill all the Autobots on the ark as well so the Decepticons could take over earth unopposed and under his leadership.

I can see Starscream being petty enough in personality that whatever the form, he would refuse to possess a Megatron or Galvatron just out of the fact that he despised him so much he wouldn't want to even be part of one.
