Telling me not to think about Justice League bedpans is not a good way to stop me from thinking about Justice League bedpans. The first thing that came to mind was radiation containment, and it kind of went downhill form there.

I thought it was a good episode, and a good review of a good episode. The founding members surrendering instead of fighting it out was a nice touch (similar to Kirk's surrender in ST 6). I think Luthor underestimated them.

And FWiW, I also liked the crew members rushing off to tackle the T-Rex. If your choices are (1) wait to get eaten or (2) fight (and probably get eaten), I think #2 is a better approach, even if it's most likely also still your ultimate destination.

Love the irony in their quest to create countermeasures against superpowered beings they seem to create superpowered beings that are far more of an immediate threat.

And FWiW, I also liked the crew members rushing off to tackle the T-Rex. If your choices are (1) wait to get eaten or (2) fight (and probably get eaten), I think #2 is a better approach, even if it's most likely also still your ultimate destination.

In seemingly hopeless situations like this one has a choice between Certain Death and Likely Death. So might as well bravely charge into the Likely.

So, erm, are we supposed to recognize the, as SF Debris once put it, "Resident Evil Critter" that Luthor is turning into? Because as a non-DC person, it looks like they just attacked a fake Luthor, and the real Luthor is off doing some other zany scheme while they fight his minion. Maybe haxxoring the Watchtower to crash into the Earth or something?

Unless he's been replaced by some kind of shapechanger. I think Skrulls are Marvel, but surely DC has their own shapechanger aliens.

Also, if the robot body can be taken out in a single blast by a BFG, why on earth would Not!Luthor want to upload his brain into it? I get that a cyborg/android body is probably stronger than human default, but as we've seen, Luthor hasn't been at human default for a few episodes now.

It's not just any old cannon; it's one specifically designed to destroy a robotic body that is primarily nanotech, as Luthor's intended android body is here. There was previous episode showing Luthor and The Atom building and designing a larger one to deal with a previous, returning threat. Brainiac should consider himself fortunate he hadn't downloaded himself into it prior to Waller showing up.

Yes anyone who is familiar with Superman the Animated series would recognize that emblem with the three circles, the cold calculated Corey Burton voice and, ya know, that Superman says who it is at the very end. (Though Chuck talks over that last bit.)

But yeah this was such an interesting huge twist. Definitely one of my favorite villains from Superman TAS reappearing as such and the utter body horror of what it twists Lex's body into. Love the explanation on how this happened to but will save that for next time.

Sidenote: Also get a kick out of how Batman is thwarted from using his grappling hood via the smooth architecture of the Lexcorp building.

If you've followed the DCAU for an extended period, (even just the previous season of Justice League) you are supposed to recognize it, yes. If you're just following Chuck's reviews, no, he hasn't covered any episodes with it.

(Upon checking to see what episodes Chuck HAS covered, I just discovered he's been doing this JL arc since 2014. Wow.)

Some evidence suggests T-Rex actually had a bit of a glass jaw. Probably they evolved to ambush prey from behind, and hunting animals with big bodies that took a while to turn around, that was usually a working strategy.

So if you ever have to fight a cloned T-Rex, go for an uppercut or high kick to the jaw.

And I have to admit that I didn't quite see the Tower staff charging the shifted T-Rex, either. Though considering some of the stuff they probably see on a regular basis, those bedpans included, it's probably not the worst thing they've dealt with. Only thing that would've made that better would be a shot of the T-Rex getting chased by the staff.

I also have to admit that I punched the air a little when Chuck commented on how Waller's obsession with countering the League made her forget how dangerous Luthor was and is. (Though at least she admits that she screwed up afterwards.)

I have to say that I find it pretty stupid of Cadmus to make their own superhero clones given that their reason for being is that they are afraid of the superheros they made clones of.
