I loved his Star Wars, Comics, and Transformers documentaries, and I can't help but wonder if he'll ever do another one. Maybe even a series about the main draw to the site, Star Trek.

Possibly, if he ever finds the time and someone's willing to pay for it. I have the sneaking suspicion that the later is easy to come by, while the former is the actual road bump.

I think he'll do another one eventually, especially since he's branched out the past few years with the dwindling number of classic Trek episodes left to review.

Although, I would also assume that a project like that would depend on his interest and familiarity with the material. The comic history, Douglas Adams, and particularly the making of Star Wars miniseries, these are clearly passion projects on topics that Chuck has probably thought about and talked about for years.

I don't think it would make much business sense on either side for a fan to donate for Chuck to do a deep dive into a subject that he isn't already invested in. We could only speculate how many standard reviews are the equivalent workload to one of those documentary series, but I would guess several.

That's why I think a history of Star Trek documentary would be right up his alley, since he clearly loves Star Trek despite all its flaws. Problem is Star Trek has been around longer than Star Wars or Transformers or any of the other things he's done documentaries on, or at least stuff that happened afterwards (Like the 90's comic crisis and Doctor Who getting cancelled) and with so many shows, movies, and people involved, it would be a massive undertaking.

I hope he does because those tend to be some of his best content.

I always just figured those were endeavors he did for Channel Awesome, or maybe they were just Patreon exclusives.

With how much his normal episode reviews go into the behind-the-scenes stuff I think it's fair to say that his Star Trek documentary series has been coming out a part a week for a decade or so.

The comics documentary remains my favorite thing Chuck has ever done.

I hope he will. Not sure what the topic would be, but I'll watch it.

I think a look a the production/writing history of TOS would be fascinating. While he's gone into detail of the development of the films and some of the various later series, an examination of the various players of the Original Series is pretty fertile ground.
