Beast Wars: Other Voices (1&2)

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Beast Wars: Other Voices (1&2)

I always loved Megatron's gloating at the end of the episode. It's the episode that really brings up Megatron's chestmaster abilities. To manipulate and predict his opponents.

This is a great season finale and drives home how cunning and manipulative this Megatron is. I remember that when my friend watched this he was so excited by seeing Unicron that he missed the part where its not really him.

Also the second part allows you to hear Scott McNeil try and do Alec Willows' Tarantulas voice.

The craziest part about the season finale is the creative team honestly DID NOT KNOW they were getting a season 2. They pulled out all those stops and setups and crazy cliffhanger shenanigans, including the tease "The End?" without any actual indication of if they were getting a follow up. They had some plans obviously, but at the time they did it, they had no idea.

Can you imagine if the series had just ended there? Or at the end of season 2? Yeesh,

(Reboot ran into similar issues. Season 2 ended on a massive cliffhanger, then the series was cancelled. Season 3 was renewed, for Canada only... (It took the US YEARS to get season 3) and they managed to wrap everything up. ANd then years later they got season 4, which was clearly meant to be a block of 12 episodes (with three 4 part stories) and.... they only did 8 of them and thus, again... ended on a cliffhanger... permanent that time.)

And now we're getting "The Guardian Code" Which is a fucking ripoff of Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad.

I suppose I can't be too frustrated by it. With Tony Jay dying, I have zero clue who could have voiced Megabyte.

Meh, I'll believe it when I see it. Every 2 years for the last 8 years Rainmaker entertainment or whatever the shambling corpse of Mainframe calls itself nowadays claims they are rebooting/making sequels/etc to Reboot. And nothing ever comes of it. I think the most we ever got is that godawful fan-directed comic.

I'll believe something Reboot related is coming when its out.

Guardian Code was annouced over 2 years ago and we've seen exactly jack shit of it, like all others of Rainmaker's claim to be working on ReBoot.

For comparison, the remake of Voltron was announced, previewed, and aired 2 full seasons in less time than Guardian Code has been "In Development"

I hope you're right then.

Few years ago I had a neat idea over Megs and time travel: That after Beast Machines he survived and the next conflict found him going back in time, really going back in time and winding up becoming Unicron.

What we see in both shows lays the ground work for him fully realizing his egotistical godhood delusion.

Couple that with Beast Machines's message of balance between opposing forces, particularly between Optimus and Megatron needing to go out together, having Megatron become Unicron could be paired up with Optimus becoming Primus, and they wage their war throughout all of time.

One bit that I found interesting was when Cheetor opened a small hole in the shields. This hole, while small, was still large enough to let him scan things. This kind of creating a hole in the shields trick is a thing i wish other sci-fi would borrow.
