It's a variation on a pretty common joke, I don't think thats anything specific.

The best example I can think of comes from the Street Fighter movie of all things.

Chun-Li: You don't remember?!
Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.
