Depends, if you have an iPhone/iPad you can do "airplay" where your TV screen will mirror your iPhone/iPad.
It is possible to do that with your Macbook(Air/Pro), but it sometimes won't play the sound from the HDMI connected and instead play it through your laptop's speakers.
Obviously there's the YouTube App and the Mini-reviews are there but that's obviously not the same.
I know for when I show my dad the Star Trek reviews I use the iPad air play method because I have the brightness on my iPad turned down to the minimum and he can't see it clearly, so I just throw it on the GIANT screen for him to enjoy.
