I rarely like to talk about reuploads as I know SFDEBRIS is busy these days already with the site, new videos and the MC Esher house he lives in.
But all 4 Rebuild of Evangelion films just went on Amazon, so overseas interest in Evangelion will be the highest in ages.
If he uploads the first three reviews now (likely edited for youtube's content ID) he might be able to take advantage of the hype and rake in some extra youtube money now, while the hype train is rolling.
Just throwing it out there, as it might be useful to him right now to upload it there for new people and those of us here to poke at for the ad algorithm
If possible expediting the Rebuild of Evangelion uploads to youtube might be in Chuck's best interest now

Youtube doesn't really pay much unless you have a craaaazy amount of views. Chuck tends to only get a few thousand views... so he probably only makes 15-20$ per video, if even that much, assuming most of his viewers leave ad block off. His oldest most popular stuff that've been around for years hit maybe 30k. (And A Look at Garak has 200k for some reason.)
The sheer bulk of videos he's done and backlog means he's probably making *something* from youtube, but most of his income is still going to be patreon and paid requests.
He's unlikely to get a significant boost from Eva hits... and even if he did, they're his weird early anime reviews where he just doesn't know much about the culture and they show it, it's not the greatest preview of his stuff to get long term viewers.

I'm hoping to begin working on PMMM for Youtube soon.

The Garak-video might actually be one of the few videos, which didn't get whiped by copyright- and website-takedowns and thus accumulated that many over time (on top of being a good video).

If I had to guess, it's probably more likely that someone hyperlinked the video from somewhere else, which drove a bunch of traffic.Madner Kami wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:01 pm The Garak-video might actually be one of the few videos, which didn't get whiped by copyright- and website-takedowns and thus accumulated that many over time (on top of being a good video).
