OK, so I have permission to provide a list of clues for the Christmas show for this year. I'll provide 1 a day up until Christmas.
Dec-13) It is a film.
Dec-14) Chuck reviewed many of the writer's other works.
Dec-15) None of the cast went on to anything of note.
Dec-16) It is referenced by an episode of the Simpsons.
Dec-17) It was released before the first video on sfdebris.com according to the archive.
Dec-18) It is an adaptation.
Dec-19) It is not the worst film of a franchise.
Dec-20) It is part of the National Film Registry.
Dec-21) You could say that its soundtrack outperformed the movie.
Dec-22) The film has one of the highest makeup budgets ever.
Dec-23) It is set largely on Earth.
Dec-24) There are two separate films for this Christmas. Clues on even numbered days apply to one, and on days which are multiples of three apply to the other. Prime numbered days apply to both.

Uugh, so many options to pick. Let's see what films Chuck reviewed:
-Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park 2, Jaws: Steven Spielberg - Ready Player One? War of the Worlds (2005)?
-Alien, Blade Runner: Ridley Scott - Prometheus? Alien: Covenant?
-The Dark Knight, Inception: Christopher Nolan - Tenet?
-The Thing, They Live, In the Mouth of Madness: John Carpenter - Escape from Los Angeles? Ghosts of Mars?
-Cabin in the Woods, Titan A.E., Atlantis: The Lost Empire: Joss Whedon - Alien: Resurrection? Buffy The Vampire Slayer?

Hmm, so it's an old film then. And from a quick look, none from my guess list.
Could it be "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? That's one Spielberg film that everyone forgets it exists, where almost every actor except for Richard Dreyfuss and Lance Henriksen vanished from the Hollywood radar.

No matter what movie it ends up being, prepare for a lot of people to quibble about what constitutes "anything of note".

I dunno, I'm pretty sure no one will disagree with my judgement in the end.
