Fun fact, the officer that wants to ascend is voiced by Haley Joel Osmont.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Trek universe is sitting on the back of a koala bear given all the wacky stuff we've seen even in just live-action Trek alone. Or it could be a Q fucking around with a lower decker because they're bored.

The fact Chuck flat out SKIPS the first two episodes is perhaps the most damning thing he's done in any review.
I only remember INTO THE DARKNESS for something equivalent.
But he seems to like everything else.

Whether he hates the first two or not, I look forward to when he finally covers those.
I can say that the first episode wasn't what sold me on the show immediately. It was episode 2 that did it, specifically how it ended with Ruthford and Tendi in the Jeffrey's tube.

Lower Decks making the Pakleds to be their archenemy race was the greatest decision of their run.
They could have gone one step further and had Will Wheaton show up as their version of Q, constantly fucking with them. His Wesley would be more like his Big Bang Theory incarnation.

The Koala's name is Petey, and he'd really rather that nobody worshipped him at all.

But he's smiling...what does he know? WHAT DOES PETEY KNOW???

Gotta say, Chuck was on fire this review! One of the funniest in a long time. I probably laughed way harder at ordering mummies from Nile than I should have.

I liked the review but imho I don't get why he jumped over the description of why Boimler spilled coffee on Ransom it was a pretty funny little part of the episode.

Same here Ep 1 got me interested, Ep 2 convinced me I'd like the characters and the show has the good heart.
