Chuck hasn't got around to this one, but I'm going to try my hand at it just the same:

Annoying Character goes to Brull. While he had a point about the absurdity of a kid piloting the flagship of the Federation, he was such a braying ass that he actually made Wesley look good this episode.

We've got a No Disintegrations for Riker needlessly and horrifically vaporizing Yuta when there were plenty of ways he could've taken her alive. If the writers needed him to cry over her at the end, having her commit suicide in the brig would've served that purpose just fine.

Final score (from me) is 4 out of 10. This episode is an object lesson in how you can ruin a decent premise by spoiling the mystery WAY too early and killing the narrative tension. In the meantime, Yuta really should've been built up as a relatable and likeable character rather than just Riker's newest pet; the reveal that she was the killer all along would've had more of an impact that way. The episode's one saving grace was Worf hilariously ragging on the Gatherers for smelling like ass.
