Opinionated Enterprise Episode Guide returns! The Enterprise's shore leave is cut short because they need to deliver a Vulcan diplomat to the Vulcans. Try not to be shocked that Archer is bitter.

Re: ent fallen hero
This episode is just one of many where Vulcans are just not acting like Vulcans. No idea why early on in Enterprise where they decide to drop the whole non-emotion thing. My only theory is that someone forgot what constitutes as emotion.Thebestoftherest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 2:58 am https://sfdebris.com/videos/startrek/e123.php

I dunno. I think the best Vulcans are the one's who can pull off ''I am an angry ball of seething hate but I am suppressing it.'' Nimoy and Russ are the masters of this. You watch them, you can tell that Vulcans are not emotionless. The Vulcans are not and were never meant to be Data.McAvoy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 6:13 amThis episode is just one of many where Vulcans are just not acting like Vulcans. The problem with ENT is that none of them were able to master the trick. It says a lot they they pulled that whole season 4 storyline out of their ass to try and explain it.

It almost like the people behind voyagers and who best episodes involve reality not behaving itself don't know how to do logical characters.clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 12:06 pmI dunno. Vulcans just seem to be very hard to write for and very hard to play, so to be honest I think we need to give Voyager some credit for writing one decently, and very definitely credit to Russ for being one of a very small number of actors who's done a decent job with a Vulcan.clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 12:06 pmI dunno. That's my point. Enterprise Vulcan from the very start of the pilot shows Vulcan raising their voice, showing alot of emotion. Archer even makes a point to mention it.clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 12:06 pmI dunno. Tuvok is the most ever seen a Vulcan too even more so than Spock. Viewing time of course. Tim Russ did a great job of showing Tuvok showing something without showing obvious emotions.
