The sight of the Master in his tiny box looking up at the Doctor and Peri reminds me much of this Lindsey Buckingham video from roughly the same era.

Re: DW: Planet of Fire
Would've thought Chuck would be fairer to Peri considering his weird mix of received pronunciation and cockney in his All Good Things opening.

Was just telling the wife about that song the other day. She had never heard it before. I was shocked.

Reminded of '80's fashion - men's short shorts...shudder.
Peri on the Master crush fetish!
Sorry Turlo, we are writing you out of the show, as a consolation you get to carry the new female companion into the TARDIS while she's half naked.

Well, ok, maybe not everything about the 80s was "totally awesome." This was also around the time TNG had dudes in skirts wandering the halls of the Enterprise.
So Chuck mentioned how we might wanna re-evaluate the perception that Peter Davison was the series' "most polite" Doctor. He shoots Kamelion in this episode. Chuck also mentioned how he almost gunned down Davros and some other incidents. Funny how, many years later, the Doctor claimed he was the guy "who never would" and yet he often did.

Re: DW: Planet of Fire
One odd thing about Kamelion and the prop not working is that he's a shapeshifter, so why didn't they just have him assume a form and stick with it (handwaving it by saying staying in a human form made the others more comfortable), with him occasionally shifting to other forms as the plot demands. Only explanation I can think of is that the budget couldn't afford an extra actor to play his human form (and considering Classic Who isn't know for its lavish budgets that's probably the likeliest explanation).

This one was hard for me to follow in terms of the fake religion and the rulership of the planet. It seems like an institution that has been in place for generations, but how could that be if redhead's family only recently got exiled?
