So Vidme is shutting down as of today With new submission ending today and videos remaining viewable and exportable for 2 weeks.

Sort of wondering what this means for the show

It will need a new host. And Chuck has a lot of work ahead of him to get a new setup. It's a right stick into the wheel of the show.

My head is so spinning, I thought "it will need a new host" meant I needed to be fired from my own show.

Never Chuck, just a new web host. I've absorbed every video you've made over the last 14 months that was hosted, I love your work.

That's not good.
I selfishly hope there won't be much disruption, the show has come to help me sleep at night...

.... that is to say, I find it very entertaining and relaxing after a long day. All the best!

God damn you can't catch a break can you Chuck? I understand why they don't but it would be so much easier of YouTube defended fair use.

Ive been lurking the forums for a while but made an account because it seems the most likely way for my suggestion to be read.

Chuck, you can consider "Bitchute" for hosting and it uses P2P instead of servers so it probably has an easier time staying in business than a place live vid.me.

I believe it also allows you to embed videos so I think it is worth looking at.

While I dislike the inconvenience for the site, I can't say I didn't see this coming.
Good lord, these videos stammer like crazy. This is the third time I have tried to watch the Dragon Age II pt3 video and the thing has stopped dead before the end. The first two instances were in the first 5 minutes, this time it was in the last 10.

I feel sorry for Chuck, I remember the whole fiasco regarding Blip awhile back, hopefully this can be easier. But I agree. Vidme has always been buggy for me. Stammering is an issue like you said. The player also start to bug out if you skip more than once, and for some reason has a tendency to get stuck. So yeah, while I'm disappointed that Chuck will have to switch to another server yet again, a part of me is glad Vidme is now gone.

This is all your fault Chuck! You're fired!
