M3U8: Crossdomain Access Denied

Post by Void »

I can't play anything due to getting "Cannot Load M3U8: Crossdomain Access Denied." How can I fix this?

Turn off the "HTTPS-Anywhere" plugin in your browser.

Dunno what to tell ya then. That's what fixed it for me. I turn the plugin back on when I'm done watching vids here on Chuck's site. Never have this problem on YouTube or Vimeo, only here.

My workaround when I have seen this is this:

Click the "<" Share Video box in the top right.
Click the Chain-link button between the E-mail and </> icon.
Paste the direct URL into your browser navigation bar.

Long term, perhaps the SFDebris tech wizards can point some DNS subdomains toward the video host, or find a coding fix, so the video implementation doesn't trigger XSS alarms.
