Charlottesville and Antifa

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. Let 'em cry over the statue of a man who never wanted any statues made of him to begin with.

You know what would be the perfect counter-protest? Stand there with signs with quotes from Lee talking about what a bad idea making these statues would be long before they ever made any.

Remember kids, camera phones are a thing.
Authorities have arrested an Indiana man on an assault and battery warrant for allegedly punching a man and woman who were demonstrating against last month’s white nationalist protest in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Jennings County Sheriff Gary Driver says 37-year-old Dennis L. Mothersbaugh, of Vernon, was arrested Thursday. He is being held in the Jennings County Jail pending extradition to Charlottesville.
Here's the video in question. (trigger warning: Two people get punched. His first target dodges and avoids almost all of the blow, but the second one doesn't and gets it full in the face.)

The master race indeed.

Cracked did a video about how Antifa is being covered in the media.
I should warn you all, the comments section is a toxic waste dump, as to be expected on youtube.

Why even hold comments on Youtube to any standards?

I'm pretty sure Youtube comments are a standard. A really, unbelievably awful standard, but still a useful one.

If there is anything below scraping the bottom of the barrel, then that is where I would place all Youtube comments.

Of course, camera phones work both ways.
Deandre Harris, a black man whose brutal beating at the hands of Charlottesville white supremacists was captured on video, is now wanted on charges of unlawful wounding in connection to the Aug. 12 incident.

A magistrate, not the police department, issued the warrant, although a news release said police officers had verified other video that led to the arrest. Harris is accused of attacking a man in the group that beat him.
I know that for many people, punching Nazis is a higher calling. But it's still illegal, so tread carefully.

Even though that guy started it, I still think the guys that beamed him in the head with a pipe should've gotten a more severe charge than what they got. Did that antifa who hit Pepsi guy in the head with a bike lock get some weak sauce charge like "unlawful wounding?"
