1) Popularity is fleeting. We'll see how well he lasts when those looks fade and the public has moved on to the next celeb.

2) So you think that military service makes you more trustworthy?
1] He's been popular for literal decades so I don't think that's changing any time soon.

2] Are you sincerely arguing that someone who has risked their lives for their country isn't more trustworthy than someone who is one of the idle rich?

Your priorities confuse me a lot, Clearspira.
1) His name is mud now in Britain. Case in point: Piers Morgan was kicked off the TV for criticising Meghan... and do you know what the public response was? That show lost half a million viewers in a week. Go Woke Go Broke.
Piers Morgan is, and always has been, an unrepentant shithead with a hair trigger. He went off on a rant, behaved unprofessionally, and then walked out himself because he didn't feel he was getting enough of a platform.
And since he British he can't even be president.

Been awhile since someone replied to a post of mine like that.

I take it as a badge of honour that my points are not contested, but I do expect better of the folks on this forum.

Something I've seen expressed by many a veteran recognizing their humanity (and all the assholes they had to deal with while serving).

Ok, that's entirely different to the usual "Make an assertion and then use 'tl;dr' to avoid bothering to make an response to a genuine and serious reply to it".

Which part couldn't you follow?

I also frequently struggle to make heads or tails of his posts.

clearspira wrote: Mon Mar 08, 2021 7:11 am Got to say, if their relationship goes south, Harry is going to be one lonely man. Meghan, she's fine. She has her own life, family and friends in the States. But Harry? He didn't just leave his family, he insulted them in public with the most famous interviewer there is. His relationship with Wills and Charles is never going to be the same no matter what happens. Not to mention that Harry is now deeply unpopular in Britain, his name is mud every time he comes up now.

At the end of the day - its their word against the Royal Family. No reason to believe him, her or them over anyone else.
From what I understand is that in the beginning of the relationship between the two, Meghan's family was barely there for her and her father was a non functional alcoholic. Only her mother was there for her. It later changed that her family was there for her, helping her on her failing acting career. Who knows which story is true, or somewhere in between.

TBH, from what I have read about Meghan Markle, it would not surprise me if she leaves Henry. There will be an excuse of course. My gut feeling is that she is main architect of this whole drama and Henry is being forced to follow.
I got nothing to say here.

Money does only so much in anyone's decision making. When it's the matter of the heart, that becomes actually secondary or non existent. I have seen bad relationships where it had nothing to do with money but being in a toxic relationship. Rich or poor, still the same. Toxic.

The big thing here is that whether what she is saying is true or not, he is alienating himself from all of that. He may be forced to do all of these things.

It's just not a money thing.
I got nothing to say here.
