Because a well-armed force of people empowered to wield violence on behalf of the state getting their feelings hurt by guys dressed up as blue foxes and lizards with tits is very funny. And seeing the people with all this power, the ones who said they are powerless to do anything about online harassment, then bend the full force of their tools against people once they start harassing them, when that is a subculture known for mascots, costumes, and bizzare kink, is again, a real solid knee-slapper. It's like watching Duke Nukem get suplexed by Hamtaro.

I had a bit of an issue following the report because of the opening lines.

Costumed Cop Hater Infestation

Did you know there was such a thing as furries? We didn’t either but apparently, it’s a thing. Some of them are purportedly Nazis.

The anonymity thing makes me ask. Are they actually furries? Or people who found costumes and the group is getting the blame thanks to the costumes?

As for bullying. NO ONE should be bullied.

Would it be funny if the cop kills himself like Cyberbully victims tend to do? That's why you aren't allowed to find it funny, because you are laughing at something that causes suicide.

Do we got proof for this?

So due to the context you think Fuzzy should just have righteous anger and the like against the hypocrisy and existence of police in regards to this and not bring up any inherent comedy in the situation?

I mean sure that's a valid postion to take, but perhaps with your history you should focus on the former more than the latter.

I find it so amusing this is the constitution of our modern-day cops. When I say we all need thicker skin as a society, obviously I include our boys in blue, not just SJWs. Politicians as well. And street protesters, obviously, or you're gonna get exactly the escalation you claim to hate in law enforcement.

Some of my ex-vet friends mourn how, and I agree here, that US law enforcement is less efficiently trained than the corps. Like, the US military has stricter firearm control on foreign citizens than American citizens. I wish we could give up the cowboy fantasies.

There are plenty well-trained cops here, depending on the department, but I think we need more social workers, less protection of police unions, bodycams, and OFC, training in de-escalation. I'd go the extra mile and say add rigorous psychological screening. Eh, but that's "Scandinavian socialism," so I guess we can't have that due to the stupid labels we put on everything. AND DON'T DEFUND THE POLICE. No. That will drive POC out of the DNC in droves, as 2020, so if your goal is to keep losing progressive causes, go ahead.

For my money, I say, walk a fine line between the hard fringe left and right. Respect the police, like the right, but be wary of them, like the left. Either extreme is impractical. The middle is where it's at. And yeah, preposition problems. Sue me. :P

Not entirely sure what you are trying to say, your wording is confusing to me.

I'm saying Fuzzy's argument of why the situation is funny also applies to why it is infuriating and since you say it's shouldn't be found funny and it's intertwined I think you should comment on it.

Or to put another way, you bring up that cyberbullying causes suicide and ignore that combining that with Fuzzy's points mean that Cops lied about and ignored events surrounding suicide until it impacted them.

Thank you for asking for clarification. Sorry for the belayed comment but your wording is often confusing and hurtful.

You hit the nail in the last paragraph. But at the same time there shouldn't be walking a fine line on fringe left and right. There is a reason why they are fringe. But the problem is that we never honestly see the moderates we always see the extreme versions of the left and right.

There has to be a middle ground. To be honest with ourselves and the subject matter. Nearly 700,000 cops in the whole US. A handful of that make the news for the very wrong reasons and the rest of those 700k cops are now automatically the bad guys.

The middle ground is to be honest that there should be a country wide reform of training and evaluation. But at the same time there is absolute no need to disband thd police force or there is absolutely no need to have full trust of the whole force.
I got nothing to say here.
