Well, make no mistake, I'm a hypocrite, you're a hypocrite, we're all hypocrites. Though I'm sorry if I wear that a bit too openly. It is a basic reality, though. :D

Could just be that I really always like to try to walk things both ways, and others have commented here prior you can't do that forever. And true enough. At some point, you need to take a side or take a stand. I just don't know if I'm there, yet.

And there you are again. Redirecting and evading, trying to replace black and white morality with "everything is equally grey, therefor everything sucks the same amount". False neutrality and generalization as a front to avoid having to put your chips down anywhere or stand behind anything.

Like I said, pizza cutter.

I've said before, I'm not political, I don't organize nor do I vote except for last year for extenuating reasons. My only political experience is as a retail employee and a consumer who's rather fed up with the horrible writing we've had in recent years calling itself "progressive" when art should be just as against political correctness as it should, but the one thing it should never be is badly written.

In a democracy, everything and everyone under the sun is gonna be political, so having political opinions is fine. Is it so bad that I'm in the middle? Independents just seem to be ignored by many on either aisle of the political spectrum. Because I've said it before, the guilty white SJW fringe or the reactionary militia groups don't represent the silent majority.

And it is the guilty white SJW fringe that is taking over our pop culture. But, past MSM coverage, the country is nowhere near the doomland the MSM says it is while blaming the other side for that.

All this talk about Boomers and Millenials and people forget there is a generation between them. Gen X.

People seem to forget also with Millenials their parents can be like in my case Boomers (1949 & 1950 for my parents) or Gen X parents for the younger segment of the Gen Y.

Gotta ask yourselves, Millenials are 'pampered' apparently. So who did the pampering? And who is complaining about the Millenials now?
I got nothing to say here.

Then shut up. You claim to be apolitical, then stick your dirty fingers into every single political debate because Hecate forbid that a single exchange go by without your uninformed non-opinion as a fence-sitting bystander. You are a South Park diatribe and a Status Quo Warrior who is convinced that, because he has no dog in the fight, there is nothing to be gained or lost.

In any generational discourse about Millenials and Boomers, Gen X will weigh in simply to remind us that Gen X exists.

Hyperbole. I don't comment on every thread.

You should probably block me if you dislike seeing my comments - as again, I don't post in every thread.

But, you know, the fringe guilt-ridden white SJW/LGBT ideas and policies and viewpoints are never going to catch on among the mainstream, or even the POC you claim to champion. And it's not so bad to be a niche. More people need to be aware of the niche they fit into. I never understood why someone would want mainstream appeal.

In fact, that's perhaps the biggest criticism I've had of certain companies such as Disney. They want to cater to that niche for social trending purposes online, which is fine if they want to sell to a niche crowd, but then they want to extend past that in the traditional, real-world larger customer base sense. It just doesn't work that way, even if they make profits in the short term.

It's so ironic you call me a bystander, as well, since you don't even know me. I actually DO, for instance, ride my bicycle into town. I can't afford a hybrid car and I do consider climate change something I'd like to take a stand on, as I feel it's important. I work out in local charities, but you call me a fence-sitting bystander because I think both sides are political clowns.

Whatevs. I'm out.

Sure the boomers pulled up the latter behind them, voted for people that slashed social services to the bone, and had leadership that lead us into 2 massive recession in just over a decade, but the millennials noticed those things and got angry about being fucked over.

How Old are you? Because the idea that these are ideas that can never catch on is ridiculous to me because I'm old enough to remember when there was serious consideration of a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. People want mainstream appeal because it means the number of people trying to murder us or legislate us out of existence.

And here I thought 9/11, the forever wars in the Middle East, the rise of the American Police/Surveillance State, the Great Recession, and the rise of White Nationalism were forcing Millennials to grow up.

Well, I guess I am glad something forced me to grow up.
