Look whose saying the quiet part out loud.
“This time, we won’t look the other way on Coca-Cola’s $12 billion in back taxes owed,” Mr. Cruz wrote in an op-ed titled Your Woke Money Is No Good Here. “This time, when Major League Baseball lobbies to preserve its multibillion-dollar antitrust exception, we’ll say no thank you.”

Let's not pretend that woke monopolization isn't a problem, though.

Ted Cruz is a fool and abject failure at his job.
There is no reason why he couldn't just sell other Republican states up the river and say, "Take your businesses to Texas." But instead of representing the voters who elected him... He instead talks about the nebulous business favoring bullshit that the Republicans will only pretend to care about and pretend to threaten removing.
He will totally take their money. We have established he is an opportunistic loser who made calls for Trump after Trump insulted his wife. Ted Cruz sucks.
Seriously. The whole world is suffering in 100 tiny ways and you think that companies trying to PRETEND to be less racist is a problem. Nonsense.
Just fucking nonsense.

What the fuck are you even talking about at this point?Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 11:27 pm Let's not pretend that woke monopolization isn't a problem, though.

I think the too-big-to-fail monopolies are the issue, that are pandering to gullible leftists, but don't really care about those issues long-term. It is a smokescreen. They are taking advantage of you.
What I really want, is never going to happen, which is to break up companies like Wal-Mart, Disney, Amazon, Apple, and the like, so you'll forgive me if I object to the greediest people on the planet catering to SJWs to try to foment a far left race war that protects big business and big tech, in the end.

Exactly what was Coke doing that makes it pandering to 'gullible leftists'? And exactly why is it a bad thing?
Let's get this straight. Coke might see a uptick in sales from left leaning people due to their message. But they will see a downtick in sales from the right leaning side due to their message causing them to boycott the brand. Where are they taking advantage of anyone?

I got nothing to say here.

Perhaps not coke. Though that message applies to other industries.
Take Alien: Covenant. It has a gay couple in the story that doesn't have to beat you over the head with it. And I LOVE that. I've had issues with Alien: Covenant script-wise, but that isn't one of them.
That's not woke, that's classical liberalism.

Point granted. But my point remains. Woke is just one tip scaled to one direction over another. And that's not what I prefer. I like egalitarianism, as I've often been called a right-winger here, yet I have never gone on record saying I believe in bat-s*** crazy theories like white "genocide," ancient conspiracies to undermine faith (FE conspiracy), or thought vaccinations were bad, in fact, I got my first COVID shot just the other day.McAvoy wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 5:13 amThat's totally different.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 4:21 am Perhaps not coke. We need more dreaming for egalitarianism. Not one tip scaled over the other. But I perhaps expressed it poorly, so I will convey my apologies for that. I have communication issues. As no doubt everyone here can tell.

This reads like a friggin dril tweet.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 11:27 pm Let's not pretend that woke monopolization isn't a problem, though.
Anyway, this will take a bit to unpack, but right now it's like watching a hornet land on a stinging nettle. Certainly hypocritical from the party that has always been equating corporate money with free speech rights.
