It doesn't matter which party was using it, the fact that it was used to perpetuate segregation makes it a bad thing. If you want things to ever get better the filibuster is an unqualified evil.

And yet, it is one thing I can respect about the DNC is that they always go to try to stay on point with their talking filibusters. But sometimes delaying a voice is all that we need. Like imagine if it was a vote that would remove women's right to vote, hypothetically. A) The filibuster is irrelevant because even assuming you didn't need an amendment to to repeal the right of women to vote, if they are hell bent on repealing that right they'll just nuke the filibuster right then and there because unlike the Democrats the Republicans don't give a shit about the process. The only reason that the Republicans haven't already destroyed the filibuster is that no part of their governing agenda requires passing legislation.
B) You can't read the complete works of War and Peace because War and Peace is a singular novel. That's like saying you read the complete works of A Christmas Carol or the complete works of The Hound of the Baskervilles.
