Anybody remember Alien Nation?

Watching Dena's vlogs has been a trip because I'm realizing I must have watched this regularly when it was on, because I'll recognize bits and pieces of episodes in nearly every episode, but unprompted I don't know for sure I could have told you anything about the series except the basic concept and sorta described the newcomer design.

I mean I was uh 8 and probably half watching episodes before being shuffled off to bed but still.

i saw bits and pieces of it when i was young the problem was my family members wanted to watch other things and i was the youngest back then so i got only a very limited choice of what i wanted to watch. but it was an interesting premise, though its been done with other series i think that it did i well. alien refugees and they have no where else to go.

Sounds like the show was a victim of airing around the same time when other more popular/accessible shows were airing.

Luckily, the reruns of the show were popular enough to spawn around 5 TV films that expanded the lore more.

It was a victim for being on Fox back when they were very new. Not that much has changed since then.

I remember it, but never watched. I was never able to figure out what was going on, and there was something that made it difficult to keep up with (I don't recall if it was time slot or something else).

It was a fun series because it did have a very clever idea for its sci-fi premise which was being 90% a standard cop show with themes of immigration and racism but with aliens.
