Actually some do. My mother worked at a local senior center and the grocery stores around her would donate any past sell by date packaged foods. Sadly there is something about fresh foods. I am not in law or know that particular argument. But the stores would give. When they knew about it. And I believe there is a tax break for it. The question is do big chain stores care about that sort of thing? I have my doubts on say Walmart doing this. Because they have their own rules on stock and the local tax breaks are probably not worth corporate's attention.

It's almost like the left is built around marginalized groups and our society treats the mentally I'll and nuerodivergant people like shit. I'd be willing to bet most of the rest of white left-wingers are physically disabled, LGBTQ, women, or some combination there of.
The article passingly mentions the caveat that left-wing people participating in surveys are simply more likely to be receptive to being diagnosed, to then quickly put a pin in that and look more into the conclusive readout and mine it for what it's worth.

It is a Pew Survey, and they are a good source for raw data but I can tell you right now that raw data needs interpretation and qualitative analysis. The idea that more "Left-Wing" which is a wildly broad concept in American politics are more mentally ill because of this feedback is a grossly stupid reading of the data.
And even then the Pew Study is not directly linked, it is a link to an op-ed in a wildly biased newspaper. And the Pew Study is dropped almost immediately as the source of the author's complaints and ramblings.
And anyone who tries to use this data to project the idea that white liberals are some combination of disabled or marginalized based on this is also stupid and assigning their own biases to the intensely small information that is available.
