Still don't understand. Solo is between the Prequels and the Original Trilogy.
Exactly my point. So the Millennium Falcon has an established look. It would be entirely stupid to "modernize" the inside for "modern audience expectations" with floating holographic displays, touch screens, flat panel instruments with no buttons or switches, etc. So they didn't. They didn't make the entire ship a glassy, white, sterile Apple Store. They could have, if they followed the same idiotic reasoning found elsewhere. But they didn't.
Sadly, I suspect if they had we'd even see people vehemently defending the choice as a "necessary one" to "update the franchise".

There is no reason to update the Millenium Falcon since nothing in there screams it was designed in the 1970's. It stands on its own.
Honestly I would have to actually look for something that dates the movies.
I can understand updating things here and there for Solo.
Solo is not a bad movie IMO. But it is forgettable though.

This is, apparently, entirely subjective. I happen to agree.

That would be the last straw. Disney changing up the Falcon. Fans would burn down Disney World.
Sure, that's what I would have expected, before I learned what really happens from experience. Turns out though you just get the company gaslighting the fans for long enough and a group of New Fans will rise up, defend it, denouncing any notion of canon, and move into gatekeeping against the old fans by harassing them, accusing them of being nitpickers, too attached to the franchise, too beholden to continuity or nostalgia, etc. Just go look at the last decade of how fan spaces have evolved for the franchises that pulled this stunt.
That's what I was talking about initially. "Fans will complain about everything!" is used to shut down any criticism of bad decisions, and excuses that audiences wouldn't accept a consistent fictional aesthetic don't hold water in light of the success of shows and movies that do.
Worse is the directors or even studios getting in on criticizing fans who are overly critical of their film. Like Ghostbusters 2016 for example.
Fans were like that with early TNG until the third season. And we all know the first two seasons of TNG were the worst seasons of the series. In fact we got that with each series of Trek. The gatekeeping when it came to DS9. Voyager being TNG lite and so forth.
Looking back on it:
TNG, the critical fans were correct initially with the series. It wasn't that good in the first two seasons.
DS9, the gatekeeping of it not being Gene's Trek is just wrong. The series allowed itself to step away from that to create unique and better stories. Now, its widely considered the best Trek series or at very least just as great as TNG.
VOY, we all know the issues with the series. And they are correct. Something that was supposed to be a Trek 'Lost in Space' thing, ended up being TNG Lite.
ENT, pretty much like Voyager. Though it has its moments.
It's fitting that I finished my pizza just as Spock starts reminiscing with Kirk and Bones for some character development finally. I still have 2 ciders left and I'm really not used to introducing food into this nightly affair.
