What, like using the same model for every character and snorting coke off a coffee girl's ass right there in the animation studio?

On a related note I went over to Archive of or Own and went to the He-Man page (I was looking to see who He-Man was shipped with most there) and when I went to the shipper page the post popular ship was Catra and Adora with Bow and Glimmer as the second most popular. On on the character side of things Adora, Catra, Glimmer and Bow all ranked as the 2d, 3d, 4th and 5th most written characters on the site with only He-Man in the number 1 spot.
The most popular fanfic ships being the canon ones the whole plot of the series is built around is freaking adorable.

Considering that Erica Schrier described it as the gayest place in town, it was probably a guy's ass.

I kind of like the original series for being the campest thing ever.

What's better is that's becoming more and more of a trend in resent years, with the most popular parings being the canon ones as well. Lumity, Korrasami, Catradora, Steven and Connie, Ruby and Sapphire as well as Kyoshi and Rangi. Compare this to, say, Avatar: The Last Airbender where Zutara is still leaps and bounds more popular then the canon Kataang and while the latter has its followers the former still outweighs it in popularity after 20 years.

The influence of Zutara can still be felt in the franchise to this day. Case in point, have you noticed that every love interest to the Avatar has been someone who is part of or relate too the fire nation. Mako, Asami and Rangi all have ties to the Fire Nation one way or another with all of them were clearly inspired by Zuko to one degree or another.

As a romantic I LOVE having ships that are canon as it allows me to become more invested in the story which is helped by many of these canon ships being well written with the relationship being developed naturally instead of being forced and done because Y + X = Z therefore they must be together.

No just stuff like maybe have She-ra's grandmother voiced by Melendy Britt for example. Not major things just stuff like little nods.

Catra should be gayer, angrier, and have access to a time machine.

If you stop watching about five minutes from the end of season 4 that's literally the story.
